"I was born in Norwich in the 1940s and self-taught in drawing and painting. With professional tuition, my work might have been completely different in style - however, I am successful and buyers both here and abroad seem to like it and buy.
I have been greatly influenced by local artists, and in my youth was brought up with the Norwich School of Painters ; Crome, Stannard, Cotman and the like. Theses early painters like so many of today's artists rely on the atmosphere and light one can only see in the Norfolk landscape, something I try and convey in my work.
A member of the Norfolk & Norwich Art Society from 1986-2003, I have had several successful exhibitions over many years. My one claim to fame is that Lord Coke of Holkham Hall in north Norfolk has one of my works in his private collection."
